Between the Hyundai Venue and the Kia Sportage we see an average of 0.5l to 1l/100km difference. Always travel at whatever the speed limit is.

You wont notice too much difference with a towbar rack on a small SUV type car like sone have already menioned. Things like RAV’s, Sportages and Foresters. Its (amongst others) where the negative pressure zone sits as the air flow seperates at the back of the car that helps

I don't notice any difference in my Smurf with or without bikes. Might be because they go inside 😁

What I do notice, if I drive a little different that has a bigger affect. Driving like I cycle helps too fast down hills slowly up. Meaning don't mash your foot to the floor to get over every hill. My car uses more fuel on cruise control than me in control. Also obviously if something is on the outside the faster you go the more resistance it will have.
