Hi

what would be the better option a good 2nd hand Specialized e-bike or a new Scott e-bike? Or which one is the best option as a new bike

I have a Spez Levo and a Creo and I would buy Specailized again.

But the new Scott and Trek ebikes are very nice.

That's fair, but it does seem that the risk is priced into ebike second hand prices (in general). Mtb's have horrendous depreciation rates and ebikes are even worse. Buying new gives peace of mind, but you are also lighting quite a bit of cash on fire..

Giant has some nice options as well.

Darrvin really has thee best bang for the buck at the moment !!  Available directly from Darrvin, or from Evobikes.

The Bosch motors in the Scott ebikes are mint.

Brands aside, for an e-bike I am always going to advise new over second hand purely due to the warranty you have on a new bike.

What the man said.` Ebikes break a lot more and cannot easily be repaired.
