Hi all

My Thule Velocompact 925 bike rack is give me a bit of grief. When I indicate left, the indicator pulses much more rapidly than normal on the car and the one on the bike rack does not light up. I tested it on a friend's car and it does the same thing. I opened up the plug to check the wiring was in good shape and all the connections were good, which they are. I then swapped around the bulbs to see if there was an issue with one of them with no luck. So, I assumng there is a break or short in the wiring harness somewhere. Can anyone recommend someone in the Joburg area who could have a look at it to fix? I contacted Thule directly and they can only suggest taking it to one of their shops, with no indication of they can assist with a repair and I suspect they'll only be happy if they can sell me a new one.

The bulb has blown on the rack. That will cause the car to flash quicker. If not the bulb then check the yellow wire to see if broken.

Thule Fourways will help.

I had the same issue and had  a loose wire which was burning a fuse. Best to leave it there for them to test and repei, a new one isnt needed.
