Seems that our TDF Rookie is showing RH a clean pair of heelsLOLBig%20smileClap.

Can it be because he is an unknown factor and as a result not watched/checked/countered as closely as RH, or is RH not as focused as he should be, being a new dad and all!?

GO John-Lee, you are doing us all proud!!!!!ClapClapClapClapClap

No, it's cause where all the large chunks of time are gained or lost is where the road goes uphill.... Hunter sits in the autobus, and even riding his own tempo, JL will stick many minutes into the autobus...

Be it as it may' date=' but RH has not lived up to expectations as far. Wasn't he suppose to have won a stage by now.WinkLOL[/quote']

So pick one, you want Hunter to go for stage wins, which to his credit he has tried, or ride high in the GC? You can't have both in a three week long tour, unless you ride for SD/Scott.

If you recall the tour lasts for 21 days, there is still time.

Also bear in mind that as a team BW are actually featuring more ito breakaways, top 10s etc.

Instead of one or two bright lights in 2007 we are seeing a far more rounded team performance in 2008

Geesh, dunno if I read the same results as you do, but he does not even feature high up in the GC, even JLA is ahead of him (by miles)!!!

Exactly what I said. Hunter is looking a stage win, the mountains and lumpy stages do not suit him, ergo he rides in the autobus and loses masses of time in the mountains... JL is there to learn, has a chance of sneaking into a break in the mountains, and is left to ride his own tempo in the mountains... see, he loses less time on GC.

OK, before we get into a full blown, drag down, kicking and screaming "vloer moer", I'm taking the mickey outa you guys.

Wolfie, stem saam met jou. Daar is nog baie tyd oor vir RH om te feature.

But you cannot not be impressed by JLA's performance to date. He has grabbed the opportunity with both hands.

No one has ever doubted the fact that JLA has talent, his good ride up to now is testament to the fact that he is a young man with potential. Really hope he manages to finish the tour and have an overall placing in the upper half, however bear in mind that just finishing is in itself not a small feat

JL would do better because he is a climber and is gaining much more time than Robbie would gain on the climbs! i think JL would get a better position than Robbie ever got on thetour overall!

I have a book called "The Tour de France for dummies" - Maybe give it a read...

With the knowledge on display here, I don't think some of these boys can read...
