I would be interested in this to use it on a belt drive for a gravel or touring bike. i.e. Single speed belt set-up which now has the capability of a different ratio. One "gear" for climbing. One "gear" for smashing flats.

Thoughts?

This whole system seems pointless to me, I run a SRAM GX Eagle, 10-52 cassette.

It is simplicity itself and I never have any issues, might need a tiny barrel adjuster setting every couple of months, but I'm talking 2 clicks.

Going back to a 2x system, in effect, you have to think about gearing again, as well as chain line. Seems like a step in the wrong direction, at least for mountain biking.

So my take on it ... not that anyone should take heed but

Hey we've sold most people on 1x so now what? Ah ok how about a 'cooler' 2x that'll get them going and get us more sales 😎

If you're on 2x and want something innovative I reckon go for it ... if you're on 1x and you need it you probably made a mistake

Lastly use it on a singlespeed? What's wrong with you people 😕

I feel like the industry is hitting a plateau, bikes have gotten so good that it's difficult to make real gains, we're at incremental changes now, cellphones are further along that path, but it's a similar situation.

Now companies want to make gimmicks to sell us so that we upgrade our bikes that are already perfectly fine.

It's great that they want to innovate, but if it's just for its own sake, I think it's dumb.

I love new stuff on my bike, but I ask myself, is this actually improving my ride?
