klops03 Posted February 21 Share I am looking to enter, most likely the Lite version, as this would be my first enduro race. I am trying to understand which trail is which using Trailforks (I am from abroad) - https://www.trailforks.com/region/hoogekraal--welvergenoegd-mtb-trails/ I understand that Front DH is this - https://www.trailforks.com/trails/hoogekraal-main-loop-snake-rattle--roll/ But which one is Spykers and Welvergenoegd? Spykers is a climb in normal circumstances so you wont be able to ride it before the day. as indicated above, ‘front DH’ is Snake rattle Roll - the trail that runs parallel to the Hammer. do the full! Its only 17km or something. Thats about half of what a full at jonkers is, and all the trails at hoogekraal are ‘bumpy’ xc at best. Edit: ill most likely do this on my hardtail. klops03 Posted February 28 Share Do you know if there will be drinking points or I have to take enough water for the race with myself?

Typically you need to bring your own fluids and snacks. The trail network is not really very expansive, so a Camelback should do the trick. Usually there is one water station but it's best to rely on your own planning.
Robbie Stewart Posted February 28 Share I'm really looking forward to this one. Last year I tried Jonkershoek with no training base whatsoever. It was torture. This year I've got a solid foundation going for the Cape Town Cycle Tour the week prior. The fact that this race is the next week makes it a super fun event to do on legs that are ready to send it. Let's go!! MORNE

MORNE Posted March 13 Share Bump. Guess those who need to know, do already. For the rest, come try some ‘XC-duro’ if you think you’re fast down Hoogekraal! Related thread: Leka! Warren Melissa Go Riding

Robbie Stewart Posted March 15 Share I am also sadly missing out this time round. I have family commitments I can't skip, so enjoy everyone who is riding.
