Officially, 416 finished the 109km route in 2023. A few would have been disqualified for going faster than 3 hours 50 minutes. And probably a few more oblivious riding in unassisted categories.

The 3:50 rule is now known by most ebikers.

 

As is the parking spot in Seapoint, just before the barriers start for the final straight. 

 

I waited there for 5 minutes to make sure of the 3:50.
