CdT85 Posted June 2 Share Hi guys and girls Been a while since I did a build project. And seems I have the opportunity to post one again. I recently was gifted a Peruzza 4 bike rack. It is in need of some attension and a 4 bike is a tad bit long due to the rack having to clear my rear mounted spare wheel on my ecosport. Hence the idea to cut it and turn it into a 2 bike carrier. Seems like a perfect project seeing that cycling will be on the back burner for a while with baby no2 about to arrive. Plan to strip the rack, cut it down to 2 bikes, re powdercoat it and reassemble. Should be very easy to use the two as racks in the garage. The tricky part of this project is moving the upright for the mounting arms, with minimal weakening of the frame. Allready use the levitate racks in the garage.
