The quest for a sub-R50 long-valve tjoep

I used to buy 60mm Kendas for between R25 and R30. However, I am told that they no longer have any - anywhere in the country.

The cheapest 60mm tube I can find is R50 (Continental) smiley3.gif smiley18.gif smiley3.gif smiley18.gif smiley5.gif smiley11.gif .

I'm struggling to understand this when an ordinary tube can still be purchased for less than R30.

Is the extra 2cm of valve really worth R20? smiley5.gif

Can anyone help in the quest for a low-cost 60mm tube?

I know... I have the Conti's and had a puncture the other day and thought, "There goes 50 Ront!", but later that evening because of my poor puncture rrepair technique that tube popped  and then I was really feeling the pinch, 100 Ront in a day! Ouch

Uhm.... Who you know that Schraeder valves look amateur right? A serious mtbr wouldn't be caught dead with Schraeder valves on his bike! Are you an amateur? Are you? Huh? Tongue

Apparently according to 'some' hubbers (Hog_) schraeder looks amateur ......... dunno about that but I do not have any on my MTB's Tongue

Cheap skate.

?

?

Unfortunately not all of us are feeling flush after winning cash and home appliances on the weekend   smiley4.gif

And there is a big difference between being a cheapskate and not falling prey to the commercial predators that feed on gullible racing cyclists.

Ja man......grappie rooinek!!  Big%20smile

You guys have NO sense of humor!!Ouch

Unfortunately rubber in SA is very expensive!  Look at Durex...they charge you R60 for 12 paper thin tubes.....and they only last about an hour each.....Wink

Seriously.......

I don't know of ANY manufacturer that sells tubes for less than R40.  And rather buy R60 (I.e. Vredenstein, Conti etc ) and NOT puncture that easely....

Imagine you punctured in the break, how mad you would have been and you would have lost the prize money......Wink
