Fast one 2025 New route

Hi hubbers

Thinking of doing this race again after some time away from racing. The last time I did the race the road surface was bad when you turn right heading up to the T junction (left to Meyerton and right to Heidelberg 30km mark) on the downhill and also between Meyerton and Henley on klip. How are the road surface at these 2 sections  ( do we skip these 2 segments) and overall and how does the new route compare to the old route?

Some of the roads are excellent, and some are terrible. With the recent rains in GP, it’s hard to say what it will be like now and going forward.

This is about 500-800m from the start. 

 

I’d be concerned about potholes on the opposite side of the road, in places along the route. Cars approaching from the front will need to swerve into the middle of the road to avoid some of these larger ones. And then there is the speed of some road users on some of the roads.
