Only thing that works in all climates and doesn’t make me look like a spotty teenager a few days later is Eucerin Sensitive Protect 50+. I use very little of it and it lasts a good while.

Always used Island Tribe.
Got a history of bad burns (surfing when we were younger without any protection messes you up later in life).
So I use this on my face, neck, ears etc, and the same lip balm (Island Tribe) and keep it on me when I'm on the bike (in the feed bag on longer rides).

Expensive, but only apply it to my face and neck. Apply the normal stuff everywhere else. But it really works and no more eye burning when riding, surfing, windsurfing.
