I would have thought that that strong saddle tilt would transfer weight onto your hands on long rides - but if it's comfy for you then it's comfy for you.

My saddle tilt adjustments usually end with me totally screwing up my position and going back to the bike fitter for a reset.

He calls me a "micro-adjuster".

I also need mine to tilt down - a level saddle doesn’t work for me. Too much junk crunching (girls have junk too!) My daughter also needs a slightly downward tilt where my wife and cousin both need perfectly level.

Jaroslav Kulhavy says point your saddle down as much as you want if it works.

It certainly worked for him

But then I remember less than brilliant riders back then telling him to have a bike fit too, so 🤷‍♂️

Certainly a LOT of pro roadies now going for serious down angles.

But their reasoning is markedly different to MTB ....

Always had a slightly tilted saddle, but have been experimenting with flat due to one hand going numb. Since this is now occurring on 3 different bikes with different set-ups and handlebar rotations, I've realised the problem is likely in my neck. And yes, I've had plenty of bike set-ups!

Just watched this video of Epic pro-bikes though and surprised by the radical tilt on Lukas Baum's bike:

Kulhavy will go down as one of the most decorated MTB riders in modern history.

okes, Lightning doesn't need the 'go get fit' or 'you're doing it wrong' info

They are comfortable while riding a bike for fun. The End

Let it go.

I'm glad you managed to get a dropper that allows the Kulhavy tilt. Keep riding bikes and being kiff

What delightful Friday response 🤣
