What is your budget?

Thinking new or used? Reckon you could pick up something used that would be a lot better than buying a new 35 silver.

For example I have an old DVO sapphire that is gathering dust at my folks place that could maybe be a better solution?

Feel free to pop me a DM if you are interested😜

I'd go for something higher up the product line on the second hand market. Silver is entry level and you could save on weight, performance and longevity on something like a Revelation, or Pike even a 35 Gold along with a whole bunch of other options from other manufacturers including DVO Mazzochi or something like a SID if you are more cross country inclined.

I'm looking for a value for money fork for a 130mm trail hardtail build. Any views on the Rockshox 35 silver?Β

For yourself or for your boys?Β

I used to ride a Recon on the Singlespeed. It worked. But if you are used to better, you will feel the difference.Β
if its for yourself, look for a 2nd hand fork rather if you don’t want to throw proper money at it. Add a full service to the price and you are sorted.Β

Marzocchi Z2. Shares a lot of parts with the Fox 34 and will beat the 35 Silver with a stick.

That used Sapphire WT has is also a good option.

Entry level stuff from SRAM is designed to make you wish you'd spent the extra cash.

I lucked upon a new Marzocchi Z2 at a quarter of the RRP.Β  A one-and-done kinda deal on the current Z2 version at the LBS.Β  Snapped it up immediately and it's been great for my purposes, even on (admittedly slow) black descents.Β  Servicing is a breeze as well, trust the droo.

Also picked up a good-used Z2 at a bargain here on the hub, it’s such a lekker fork!Β
