Tandem needed for cancer ride

Hi all,

Been a "stalker" on the Hub for many a year, but need some help now.

The son of a family friend (Mandre) has been diagnosed with cancer (Ewing Sarcoma) and a matric from Affies (Andru) has decided to cycle from Polokwane to Cape Town to raise funding and awareness for CHOC.

The family are heading down to Cape Town to ride with Andru and are hoping to find a tandem bicycle to use so that Mandre can join for a bit.  Due to the treatment he will probably not be in a position to ride on his own for very long.

Does anybody have a tandem that Mandre and his dad can use while in Cape Town on 21 and 22 January?  Preferably someone in Cape Town would be awesome, but I would be happy to help them get the bike down there if it is from Gauteng.

I am happy to take responsibility for the bike on their behalf, pay a deposit or cover the cost of the rental while they use it.
