Add - I enter/do less races as travelling costs have risen

I don't think people will ride less to save money...

Still go to the races (Knysna etc) but do offer lifts to guys from my cycling club. Share some costs. i.e. going to the far off races still cost me the same as before. Rather save on other things.

After my childrens schooling, wife, medical aid, and investments, my cycling comes first.

Been commuting to work for 7 years now.  Was planning to buy a MTB now so that I would be able to cycle in rain to work as well.  But the company's inability to pay us a well deserved bonus after profiting over 270 million this year has put a serious dent on those plans. Cry
