the one on my Mtb now is a standard one that came with the silverback 2006 (model)but it gets a bit eina after a ride of about 3hrs .

my road bike has the specialized gel toupe which i find quite comfortable.

i would just like to know of the different makes that are available and which i could look at getting.

thanks WH

what I have found is that the saddle on my RC3000 roadbike is also very comfortable . sometimes i think it even more so than the one on my specialized .

maybe i should take it off and put it on the MTB ??? would that work ?

There have been a couple of Fizik Gobi's on the classifieds.  In my opinion the best MTB seat ever made!

But, the bike-butt interface is a very personal thing...

Try a Body Geometry saddle from specialized. I went for a 143mm saddle on my road bike and it made a huge difference. Not sure what the MTB version is called but i'm sure they have some in the < 1K bracket.

The SDG Bel Air work for me and the upside is that you can pick them up at most bike shops for around R250 because they come as OE on a lot of bikes and the buyers the ?Upgrade? and the LBS is the stuck with them. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I am tempted to get me one of these for obvious reasonsLOL

Does anybody know where I can find one of them.

I'm an Selle Italia SLR man down to the hilt, again personal choice. Check out the Spech Phenom gels, I think they come in at around the 800 rand mark. 130 - 143 widths.

I am on the same boat, except I can't afford an SLR so I use the Giant 'Carbon" generic which works fine for me!
