Heading to Modimolle for the weekend. Anybody done any mountain biking out there?

I know they have a group of roadies meeting at the Total Garage very Sat morning.

 

but, contact Jimmy's Cycle & Sport @ 014 - 717 5685 - the only bike shop in the district.

Hey Calabash. I heard on the radio this morning there is some kind of festival in the area this weekend. All the planets is visible from earth for the next week and they gonna have things setup there to view it.

Ja ja I know this is a serious thread rejuvenation but I'm off there next week Monday to Friday and looking for some advice on gravel routes to ride from Modimolle/Weesgerus?

 

40-50k's with a fair amount of climbing would be great .....

Lindani have some really testing trails. If you want climbing they have it, if you want technical they have it. Also have chilled routes for easy riding.

Do you know how far it is from Weesgerus? Could you ride there or must you go by car ...

I've heard good things about the trails at Euphoria. It's a 20 minute drive from Modimolle.

From the Weesgerus entrance

 

Go around to the hot water swimming pool, supertube, tennis courts, camping terrain back to the entrance

 

Should give you a good 2km lap with 5-10meters of climbing
