Hi

I bought a cannondale f700 second hand a few months ago. I was wondering if anyone knows where you can buy the seals, oil and other parts you would need while serviceing the headshock.

thanks for the help

Let me warn you!! Servicing a Headshok is not as easy as it seems. There is quite a lot of skill and knowledge involved in the service. You do need specific tools for the job as well!!

My LBS recommends sending the complete headshock to the agents to service.

Mark I totally agree with your LBS!! Up in Gauteng there is only one bikeshop I will trust with any headshok or lefty work and that is Westrandcycles. Eben works on these himself. Any other LBS I think you are safer if they send the forks down to Cape Cycle Systems.

if an LBS would take the initiative to send a mechanic for the Headshok training then there would be mre competant Headshok mechanics...sigh

Unfortunately the mechanics do not stay around long enough to be sent for any training!! In my opinion quite a few bikeshop owners are not mechanically inclined at all!!!Big%20smile
