I'll go with the Crow on this one. The fork is imo the life of the ride. There should't be that much difference in the shifting but the difference in the handling would be clear.

I bit the bullet and got the EX8 in the end...wife not impressed wth cash outlay...she'll get over it!!!

 

This bike is without a shadow of a doubt the nicest thing I've ever bought myself....just about to go for the virgin ride in Eden...can't wait!!

 

PS. Have I told you lately I love mountainbiking?

I am a RS man though and through, easy to service, cheaper than the competition and just as plush if you get the oils levels/densities right

Love my headshok, weighs in at about 1.26 kgs... 80mm travel on bearings... and absolutely true steering!!!

+ 1 for Rock Shox. Any and all. Reba, Revelation, Pike, Lyrik all great forks. Pitty the wait for the new Rev was so long...

Just remember to take the pressure guide on the leg as just that: a GUIDE. Ran my Rev 30psi under recommended pressure. Reba was 20PSI less than recommended.
