Stunning machine - even for a chinese sweatshop manufacturer.

Excuse my ignorance but by how much are you able to adjust the seat height, if at all.  Seems like a lot of the new carbon frames are coming out with the integrated post.  Looks very fancy but not so sure about it.

Yeah that's the drawback with the ISP, if you are going to sell it at some stage the buyer needs to be the same height or shorter.

Yeti have an ISP on the top 'o the line MTB rig but apparently it is designed to accept a normal seat post if some one taller wants to use it after its been cut.

Time also does that. You can cut it right down and just pop on an normal collar and use a normal post then.

Surely this is a problem with any bike??! If your buy a 53cm the person you sell it too will clearly have to be similar in height.

With the Giant you have 20mm of adjustment which is in line with a normal frame!

WinkJust a side note, that should be an Australian sweat shop as most of the upper range carbon frames are made there in Giants new factory. Mikem2008-08-21 14:04:59

With an ISP you have about 20-50mm height adjustment depending on the seat clamp design. On a normal frame you could run a 250, 350, or even 400mm seatpost so the range on adjustment is far greater.

Great looking bike. I ride the 2008 model. Prior to that I had the 2006 also with ISP and never had a problem with selling it. Keep in mind , if you ride a med frame you're not exactly going to sell it to a guy over 6 foot. Therefore the 2 inches adjustment is within reason for selling it to someone riding a med. Unless you ride a med that's too big and you cut the seat post abnormally low.
