Thanks to the generous loan from IanJ, I've just finished the book.

 

Fantastic.

 

Riaan is an absolute inspiration and like someone here said earlier on, I wish I'd known about him beforehand, I'd love to have been able to help him, even if just fixing that dreaded wheel of his.

 

Riaan has given me a view of Africa that I really treasure.

 

It is not about the bike but guts. I think people like Riaan should have themselves phsycologically profiled before asking for sponsorship. He clearly has the finishing gene and that's something sponsors can't aways see. Also, I bet his sponsorship proposals could have done with some professional input and editing. I just cannot see how companies could not sponsor him. He's so marketable and now that he's back the opportunity is lost.
