Want to make my own light out of LED's.

I have 4 green LED's I can use, but as I have no knowledge in the making of lights I am taking a wild shot in asking this:

What else do I need.

I can get my hands on a 700mAh bukpac (?sp)

I have a power source of 6 AA batteries ( want to get 8 C cells.

Any advice?

Need the experts advice:

What I have in my shopping cart:

3 x 1 Watt High Power LED Star - White

1 x      Fraen Narrow Beam Tri-Lens - Fits Lambertian LEDs

1 x      Wired BuckPuck 1000mA DC LED Driver 3023-D-N-1000

1 x      Battery Holder 8xAA Long - Wire

What am I missing

Aah I skipped out at page 10.

Will go trough the whole tread again. I decided to get the gear from Rabtron. Heatsink I can get at work (there is boxes of the stuff round here)

I want to make sure that the mounting for the LED's will fit before I buy it all. I am thinking of getting a 50mm pipe to fit it in.

As I know nothing about electronics I would like to know how you guys created the different brightness settings?

What would I need to get that working on the setup I have at the moment?

As have been said by Willehond and others, READ the DIY LED light thread. All your questions have already been answered there.

Rabtron is a great source of electronics, but they have not been able to stock Cree LEDs. I have built lights with Luxeons and with Cree Q5s and the Crees are MUCH brighter at the same current with less heat.

Two possible sources for Crees:
