Any one know of any training groups in Plett? I am there in december and would like to find some groups to train with.

Kevin Evans rides (with who ever wants to join) from his shop on the Main Road. I think they leave @ 5:00 and head out towards the toll gate via Keurbooms pass. They always regroup at the top of the hill on the N2.

The group is anywhere between 20 and 80. Several people ride out early to get to the waiting point before the group if they feel that they are slow climbers.

At least half the group turns to go back to the shop - that is about an 80km route.

A few of the guys go back via Natures Valley (about 110km) and several go on to some other pass that I am too scared to ask about.

VIRUNGA JUST TAKE NOTE THAT SLOW AND FAT RIDERS RIDE TOGEATHER. IF YOU FALL OFF THEY WONT WAIT( ON THE FLATTER SECTIONS. )

IF U WANT TO DO A PASS U CAN TURN OFF @ THE TOLL GATE AND DO THE PASS THAT GOES INTO THE MOUNTAINS. LOVELY AND PEACEFUL.

IF U WANT MORE INFO SPEAK TO KEVAN . HIS SHOP IS IN PLETT IN MAIN ROAD AS U COME INTO TOWN. VERY NICE GUY AND AND ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP.

If the slow and fat riders ride together, I expect that the fast and skinny riders form the other bunch.

You will find the 'caps lock' button on the left of the keyboard between the 'tab' and the 'shift' keys.  Use it without fear - you will still be able to remove your headgear.
