You're rigght they're not cheap if you are going to import them...luckily my boss went to UK for business trip and I had it delivered at his hotel..paid no import duties/vat..

Look at www.sjscycles.co.uk. I found them to sell the brooks saddles the cheapest and their service is excellent. B17 Standard retails for GBP35 when I last looked..

Looks odd on your bike..like post office bicycle..can really vouch for these saddles damn comfortable..Cycling shorts were invented for poor narrow saddles..Will never trade my brooks for italian etc..

I would love a pair of the Brooks grips but they are also quite expensive.

the BROOKS Handlebar Grips

In the BROOKS tradition, our grips are made of natural leather, the same long wearing leather used for our saddle tops. BROOKS only buys the central part of the hide, the back of the cow, which is thicker and stronger. For our saddles we cut one leather top at a time, taking great care both in guaranteeing a homogeneous quality and in minimizing the residue. Nevertheless a lot of leather remains unused, and it is this part which is now employed in the manufacturing of our grips.

Each BROOKS Leather Grip is made with a stack of leather washers held together by 3 bicycle spokes and 2 aluminium rings. This construction enables each of the 2 grips to be shortened independently to the desired length.

The shortening of a BROOKS Leather Grip is a rather simple 5 step operation:

1 ? unscrew the 3 nipples from the inner aluminium ring

2 ? remove the inner ring and enough leather washers to shorten the grip to the desired length

3 ? cut the spokes with pliers

4 ? gently file the spoke?s rough edges

5 ? reassemble the inner aluminium ring with its 3 nipples

The BROOKS leather grips fit all standard handlebars with a 22.2 mm diameter. They are available in 4 colours: black, brown, aged (dark tan) and honey.

BROOKS leather grips shape to your hands and allow them to breathe while riding.
