man its a long story it was hidden by a epic sticker Angry but its all ok things are patched by the seller and buyer both are ok now but she would just like some opinion from the experts on how to go about reparing it. It is very ugly on such a nice bike Wink

this the same chic who wanted to by colonel and someone else's bike?

you could also try fingernail polish as a temporay cosmetic solution.

If the scratches are deepish then smoothing over the area might weaken the tube wall. So you might get an enthusiastic panel beater who sands the frame smooth in an attempt to restore it.

ok, in all honesty that's not as bad as what my chain did to my very very pretty and still pretty-new mongoose so it's not bad at all. merely cosmetic. so she must just take normal old nail polish, clean the area well and put a few layers down. this will by default almost smoothe the area out. then she can take enamel paint (to match up the white) and do a thin layer, then silver (paint or nail polish) and finish it off with a final lyer of nail enamel - and you won't spot it. trust me my old schwinn mesa had many many such repairs. even my TCR has a few such repair jobs on it. the initial layers are just to smooth the area out and can be buffed down using a good old nail buffer.

gotta admit i've even touched up scratches on cars this way

Hog, while i can cover-up the probs ont he item i can't cover-up my expression - so i will always spend more time pointing out the probs/scratches etc... now you know why i'm not in sales - i couldn't sell ice to someone in a dessert, nor a boat to a drowning man int he ocean - how the hell do you think i'd sell something that has had damages covered up?

(i can't even seem to give the stuff away... still have a fizik saddle looking for a home)
