scotty believe me you will not have to do that you might as well walk up the hills if you run that combo on your bike

hagar, before you get it, try gettin a cluster with a 25 or even a 27 on it!  I know the Yak put a SRAM 11-27 on his bike and it makes a HUGE difference, even bigger than a compact if you currently have a 11-23 on your bike!

Please don't be mistaken......It won't be like a WOW difference. I changed from 175mm normal cranks to 170mm compacts.....do I feel a difference? Um.....besides the fact that I felt a bit lower' date=' not really. I still suffer on hills. I didn't do it cos I wanted help on the hills, we were looking for the right size lenght and it happened that the ones we found were compact and carbon....

and now they look pretty dont they bored girl?????????

i changed from compacts because i just dont have the leg speed for them while racing in the elite bunch and the cranks were too short for me

Compacts wont provide a performacce improvement, they just give you better gear ratio options for riding hills and flats without having to install a triple in front. Crank length is optional, you dont have to use 170's, Ive got 175's.

One instant way to ride uphill easier is to get one of these with 250W electric motor, allthough the 24kg weight penalty might negate the electric motor somewhat.

thanks Swissvan that is what i think i need a better ratio for the hills get my cadence up slightly and not grind at 45 rpm up the hill !!!! Flats i am ok but is when we go up that I K@K . I think i am going to try that rear cluster option that WH suggested sounds like it could help me somewhat .
