We would like to take part in a road race but so far couldn't find an event in any calender? If you know about an interesting event - please answer! As the other hubber mentioned, pedalpower.co.za will give you good info - click on "calander" and call-up all the events. 5th Oct08 is the race at Boschendal - should be very good and scenic. has 2 mountains, nothing like the Grossklockner race in Austria, but still quite hard. will be windy!!11th Oct08 - Nelson Creek / Engen race, nice and flat (rolling hills). koboldmaki Posted September 30, 2008 Share Hi, sounds good, no we don't have an international licence-not even a Swiss one, I used to race as an amateur-long time ago...:-), we are a couple of 40 and do a lot of hobby races but for those there's no need for a licence.Four more days and Cape Town has us back!!! [/quote'] No exactly right, i am building up slowly - i cant handle the long distance now, i struggled to finish the 43km, was weakening in the end but i hung on and stayed with the chase group to finish. It was hard for me, Adderly was quite tough. Only bad thing was Moolman welgemoed passed me as i crossed the line - i was going quite slow up that hill and he was speeding - not long and i will be back...
