See attached photo of 1st Club DCB Logistics / FIT Kermesse held this Saturday at Serengeti golf Estate near <?: prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Kempton Park off the R21.

There were 3 categories

Elite/Open, won by Christoff van Heerden

Vets 30+, won by James Crawley

Vets 40+, won by Sean Wheeler

Only R70 to enter

All entry money goes back into the prizes so the more we have entering the bigger the purse

No traffic to contend with

Elite & Open

Vets 30+

Vets 40+

Vets 50+

Novice & Ladies

The day was a huge success with Serengeti spoiling us after the ride by providing drinks and snacks. What a nice touch. The riding is hard but great training and even if you get dropped, and I know how that feels, you can ride your own pace to the end.

We hope to see you at the next upcoming dates below. We will be starting a beginners and ladies race of 20 minutes + 1 lap as well.

Dates

11 October

1 November

8 November

Next years schedule to follow

We hope to grow this event by inviting as many as possible. Spread the word & inform your club members. All are welcome.

What a great format of racing, Kermesse, the good old fashioned Belgian way, approx 1km circuit, one nice long interval session. Spectators soaking up the atmosphere! and enjoying a day out with the loved ones!

I must say i hope it goes from strength to strength and all concerned keep the motto...."by the cyclists for the cyclists"

Non profit is great, and all entries go to the prize purse.

A Ladies and open category is great from 2pm for R 30.00 20min + 1 lap

And the serious lot from 2:30pm for R 70.00 1hour + 1 lap with 3x 15min primes
