Brakkies Sport Fotos Posted December 5, 2006 Share Saw that CWC selling these @R1650 (770gr, incl BB) Thats way cheaper and lighter as XTR's, (837gr), and much lighter as my RaceFace (957gr) Anyone knows anything regarding the KCNC Bearbone XC Crankset

TitusTi Posted December 6, 2006 Share I've got one of their handle bars? I know that doesn't help with the BB longevity issue. Is it an inboard or outboard BB?
linnega Posted December 6, 2006 Share The BB is standard ISIS drive from the looks of things. Better off with your RaceFace cranks Popeye. You can get a KCNC knock off of the RaceFace crank system but I imagine it costs more than R1650.
dirtrider Posted December 6, 2006 Share But not the raceface external bearings !!! They are not up to the task and you will be better of getting a set of LX bearings !!!
Brakkies Sport Fotos Posted December 6, 2006 Share Hey ouens, eks 'n roadie, "looking like a muddy". This is very technical challenged for me. So, what you say is stay with my Raceface Evolve XC? (its heavy !!!!! ) One more thing = No make it 2.... Did you see the add of Solomons gift in Pretoria. They are selling the FSA CARBON PRO TEAM cranks 175mm 44/32/22 for R1496.00 . (weight, BB incl = 813gram) Is that a good deal ? Than ..secondly. It will cost between R1300 - R1500 to replace the nuts and bolts with the "ti" ones and save up to 180gram ? Worth doing it? What do you think?
