quickdraw Posted October 9, 2008 Share I have the phenom SL and love it sometimes forget it's there But saddles are definately and individual thing, what works for one might not work for another. The nice thing is my LBS gave me 2 weeks to try out the saddle and providing there were no scuff marks I could return it if I did not like it. Caerus Posted November 18, 2010 Share Ok so Ive narrowed it down to the Specialised Phenom range of saddles, Ive had me butt tested and they say im in between a 130 & 143mm - Now the question lies in I do realise its twhich Phenom to get? Phenom Comp Gel, Phenom Ti Gel or the Phenom Gel. If Im mid way between the 130 & 143 mark, which one to go for? And lastly, I would go for the Phenom Gel with CroMo rails. Reasons are it is a lot cheaper than the Ti and if you fall the CroMo will be less likely to bend, so better suited to MTBing ( unless it is for a road bike, then get the Ti if you want to spend the extra cash for saving a couple of grams). From what Ive heard & seen Specialized do not export there saddles. Will I get charged VAT or Tax when I place the order & pay for it from South Africa?
