so i've had my fair share of cramps (thank you my wonderful calf muscles)but until now i've only had the pleasure of them in the middle of night........

so my body decides to throw me a surprise and get me while training

while doing the same moves i have been for more than a month......

so i had to slowly come off the leg extention machine and pretend nothing's wrong and limping get to my car

i read recently that cramp dont really happen because you're missing something like magnesium or whatever in your body but rather because you've pushed yourself too hard

well......i know i didnt so whats left?

do you guys chew on cramp stop all the time? Tongue or is there another alternative?

it's really annoying that i wont be able to do my routime tonight Angry

Okay...in that case i've never gone hard.

Try rubbing in some DeepHeat or something like that (lots of products, but all the names has suddenly been drained from my brain)...works for most people - i think.

I suffer from cramps as well, but think it's just cos i don't train enough and then push too hard from time to time.

Have been using USN Crampblock when i know i'm gonna need it, like for Hell & Back when i once again knew i hadn't trained enough. I don't really want to use it cos i\m worried my body will become dependant on it.

I know some poeple use it all the time because they just cramp, no matter how fit they are.

BG....you only started riding recently, huh?

If so, maybe give it a bit more time and see how it goes before you decide to use supplements.

Do you train with a heartrate monitor? Cos that'll give you a clearer indication of the effort you're putting in.

Try to see a massage therapist to work on your legs, especially if it's one spot that's cramping? I have that on my right glute (butt) lower back, and I get someone to get in there with a jackhammer, Ok, she's actually a small little blonde girl, but she's brutal nonetheless. Then after that for quite some time that area is just to terrified to cramp? Works for me.

Cramp is mostly to do with fatigue, not mineral deficiency, but dehydration can play an aggravating role. Solution is totrain more, and even more importantly, no matter what your fitness, pace yourself - go too hard too soon and you will cramp. Staying away from bigger gears also helps.
