Second that!!! the rand has gone mo#r toe... and their prices are still very good!!

I was at my LBS today to get some new prices... I was shocked!! The prices have gone sky high!! The stuff from CWC is still so cheap. I'm very dissapointed in myself that I didn't buy the SLX group two days ago but it still is very cheap!!

I love the styling of the SLX, really looks nice! I'm starting to think about replacing my r der while i'm at it, but then again I probably don't need to... Just need the crank!!

I have seen about 30% rise in price of new stock at some of the LBS and heard warnings that tires will go up by 60%.

Luckily most of the LBS owners are good mechanics or cyclists and not very good businessmen. Last time we had the unnatural rise in the R/$ exchange rate they also managed to import large amounts of stock because there were NO old stock sales before at ols prices before the new stock was sold off. When the R/$ returned to R5-85 no prices were cut...... it stayed the same. I wonder how much of these price increases are now on old stock and will pay for their fancy motorbikes, cars and exorbitant end of year holidays.

Methinks they just got their excuse to bump prices as they discussed at their now well discussed "price fixing" meeting. The "heroes" of that meeting must now be wringing their pudgy little hands in glee!!!!!!!!

CWC does not fall in this category as they import stock as neccesary and are also one of the shops "they" want to ostracise and "weed" out!!!!!!

I am thinking 5 months till any sort of return to orignal state

i think 5months is a bit optomistic, i would say that we are looking at, at least a year before it starts looking normal again
