I have a question regarding my Montain Bike brakes

I took of my back wheel and the kids decided to play with the breaks ..How do I open up the pads again..

A thin knife blade also works very well.  Screwdriver can damage the pads if you're careless...

Yeah, and with enough force you break your finger off in your ear.  A knife, being steel too, can also damage the pads.

 

Lets stop perpetuating these dire warnings printed on packaging to protect stupid Americans consumers who need warnings on every conceivable innocuous item from toilet paper to toothpicks.
