but. I guess you are right. Thus I mind my own business now days...

They are in the same gene pool as people who let their kids stand and romp in the front car seats...

a bit pricey i think that new bike park but i guess the demand for a safe ride is high and people will be willing to pay for it. we will see, i will definitely try once and see if it is worthy by myself

Okay, not to turn this into a helmet yes or now conversation. But last night my 2 1/2 year old nephew put my helmet on and decided to ride his small bike out the back door down the step. He fell over and his his head on the paving. Luckily he was wearing my waaaaaaay oversized helmet. Accidents happen faster then what you can say superfragilisticexpealidoses.

Okay, back to the bike park. It will be great if they could rather have had a Mugg & Bean there. They are after all in cahoots with Cycle Lab and the club are they not.

Hope your little nephew is okay. Mugg & Bean has a separate MTB club to Cycle Lab. They used to have an association, but no longer.

50 ZA ronds a single visit? Sorry but I'll just keep on riding the Walkerville hills and surrounds .........

Ya, seems a bit steep, especially when you have to drive there as well...

As a comparison Rietvlei (Alberton) costs are:

R 20.00 per single entry

R 100.00 for a 10 entry ticket (no expiry)

R 750.00 (ish, not sure about this one) for an annual pass.

I guess that means with my family it is cheaper to load them in the car and drive them to Rietvlei, rather than cycle 5km up the road!!!

No, but does Toyota MTN Cycle Park have cool natural rocky trails like "3 sisters", "the swimming pool",  "Wendels Revenge" and "the Japanese Garden / Graveyard".

However truth be told, when they finally open my son and I will be sitting at the gate with R 50.00 each clasped in our excited, sweaty paws.

Money grows on trees in Jhb.

Prices in PTA:

GrRoenkloof:  R18:50 after the increase

Rietvlei dam:  the same

Klapperkop:  Free (but take own security)

Greenbelt from Wonderboom South to Quarry: Free (take own security)

Km of km of km virgin trail from Cullinan to Britz:  Free.  (Follow the railway and powerlines)

And then you want to pay R50 to cycle in circles.  Even Northern Farm is Cheaper.
