white is always an interesting colour for a MTB.  I prefer white because I am a lazy slob, and only wash my bikes when they start looking really dirty.  White bikes always seem to look dirty.  Therefore, against my character and personality, I now wash my bike regularly

That's what Bicycling said about 3 years ago, yet, most of the top riders on our local circuit as well as those international guys we see on TV are all riding hard tails.

Maybe they just like to ride vintage bikesBig%20smile

...said the guy WITHOUT the Specialized Epic. Once upon a time I remember people trying to justify why they didnt want to use disc brakes too (extra weight bla bla etc) A well tuned and dialed in FS XC bike will not weigh much more than your hardtail will, and will be superior in climbing, descents and comfort. Maybe then because it makes you faster, there will not be a need to shave the legs and wear spandex Wink

Well spotted Bust. I got me a Specialized Epic....anyone who usu rides a hard tail and tries this bad boy out ends up wanting to buy one. There have been no exceptions...
