Thug Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Use the Cane Creek's as well... on risers... na nana na na!!! More importantly though' date=' who's cut their bars shorter and by how much?[/quote'] My Ritchey bars have been cut 1 cm shorter on each side.
TitusTi Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 600mm - bro I've seen vaulting poles shorter than that Perhaps but I go downhill like I've been shot out of a cannon? So what does that say?
MintSauce Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 They are awesome' date=' cut mine off to be shorties though, now they're perfect![/quote'] Sacrilege...you could've just bought the short ones! ok' date=' let's all be honest now, and see how many people run bar ends with risers? [/quote'] ....SOMEBODY SHOOT THEM!
Buff Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 600mm - bro I've seen vaulting poles shorter than that Perhaps but I go downhill like I've been shot out of a cannon? So what does that say? Easy one - you're CERTIFIABLE !!! ... it's all about the bike dude, not the bar ends
TitusTi Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 No it's not, it's all about the person on the bike, the only difference I've noticed with my current bike is that on the ragged edge I have more control, not much mind you but still more than I've had before. -- And we were talking about the bar width not the bar ends.
Buff Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 In the words of the great Marius... "Bite me". Bar ends bar width smidth... So you descend like that on a hardtail as well?
TitusTi Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 So you descend like that on a hardtail as well? On my GF Big Sur, I did yeah. Like I said though the biggest difference now is the climbing is better on the full sus and I have a little more control.
Buff Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Okay... you're da man... but then again, those green & gold clothes hanging in your cupboard proved that a while ago.
TitusTi Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 I didn't get any green & gold clothing! I had no recognition from the local mtb authorities because 24 hour racing isn't actually a sport.
MintSauce Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 ....on the ragged edge.... Nothing quite like this, close shaves with trees, drop-offs, roots etc. Can't get enough of the rush of blasting down tight, technical ST! LOVE IT!
TitusTi Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Rode a bit on the mountain yesterday, cut a tree a bit close on the left and had to move my butt outta the way as the tree hit my saddle, man it was beautiful!
fatcyclist Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 I didn't get any green & gold clothing! I had no recognition from the local mtb authorities because 24 hour racing isn't actually a sport. We'll give you beer, and get SARA & Jellytot naked

Buff Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Don't worry fella, amongst your peers... if we close our eyes really tight, we see you in green and gold... when you're not naked
TitusTi Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 That's a bit worrying, my peers imagine me naked?
