Ok...so what's the deal with these Eastern Cape based lads?

It's in black and white in the latest Ride mag that Felt is offering bike finance in association with a finance company.

Emailed Felt to see what it's about and get the details....

emailed Felt again....

Bugger it, phoned Felt....

"Hi can you tell me more about the finance deal?"

"um...what finance deal?"

"The one in Ride magazine."

"um...that's in its planning stages."

"But it's advertised."

"oh...well maybe the Marketing Manager knows more."

"Maybe. Can I speak to him?"

"He's not here."

"Please ask him to call me...here's my number."

"Sure."

......

Decided to call Felt again....

no joy.

Is this the norm from this brand? Has anyone else seen this ad and tried to enquire?

I am not sure where you are but speak to Justin from Just Cycles in Alberton 011 - 8690646 they are Felt agents and he is willing to help you.

The financing took some time to implement, but its working fine now. Felt is the first brand in SA to implement such a great service. This is done to enable all cyclists to own a great bike. But typical cyclist you found something to moan about. And read the add again, you should enquire from a bike shop, not the agents. The bike shop handles the financing.

Good service and manners are rare.

I wouldnt say its a EC thing though. Albert from Probike returned a call about my Maxxis tyres ASAP and they are in PE.

Mud Dee, careful what you say. Phoned a couple bike shops first and they didn't have a clue. I'm not looking for something to moan about so keep your attitude to yourself.

I called Felt as a VERY interested buyer and grateful for the idea but the service was poor. Still no response. You'd think as the importer they'd still take the time to treat potential clients as such, irrespective of who i should or shouldn't be calling.

No. i'm not getting uptight. I just think it's unfair to pass judgment. Give me advice as how to solve my problem.

and would you say i passed it unfairly?

Do you not think that since Thursday last week a simple returned call from Felt would've changed my judgment.

I think you should rather be watching what you say. If you phoned the bike shops and they couldnt help you you should take it up with them. Everyone of the shops listed in the add were educated about the financing and should be able to help you. If I want to buy a BMW I dont phone the importers, I phone a dealer. Doesnt matter how interested I am. You cant blame a admin lady that answers the phone to help you with something that she's got nothing to do with. So phone one of the listed shops again, if they cant help come back and moan about it.

I hear you MD. I do. And i'm not blaming an admin lady. But a returned call would go along way.

And seriously, the bike shops didn't know...so what good is it going to do me taking it up with them?

I have dealed with Felt on several occasions and their service was top-notch every single time.

I'm not disbuting that you had bad service or aren't happy with the service you got. But I haven't had any issues. That's why I'm such a big fan and supporter.

Smilehey guys, i bought a felt compulsion 3, they did not have stock at the time so i ordered it, the cycle shop being bring it on cycles in kloof were most helpful and the bike was delivered on the said date. i had a snag with one of the components and bring it on cycles got a new part from felt (overnight) and fixed the problem pronto. now i dont know if the great service was from the shop or felt but i must say i have had no problems with either.
