OT: Problems with remote gate

I have been experiencing problems with my remote gate. Every once in a while the thing opens by itself.

Something must be triggering it, so I thought that maybe somebody in the neigborhood has the same frequency as my gate, but drived around the neighborhood with my remote to see if my remote triggers anybody else's gates, garage doors, etc. But nothing.

 

Can anybody explain this or come up with a solution?

just reset the program and re programme your remote.

make sure there is no wires touching each other inside the control box of the gate.

there are different jumpers in the box, change the combination and reprogram your remote. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

 

This will change the frequency.

 

There should be a small black box with 4 to 5 white switches. 

they can either be on 0 or 1

If all are on 0 change the combination to 1 0 1 0 0 for instance.

And make sure your sensors on both sides of the gate is still aligned .
