Not really K. I smoked a lot more while waiting around. Usually I can go at least one lap without a ciggy.

Last time I had three. (smokes)smiley2.gif

Hey Guys and Girls.

Unfortunately received news of a friend in Cape Town passing away this evening. I won't be able to join you guys on Sat. Only arriving back at 7 from CT so I may catch you guys as you're finishing at SBR.

Hey GO. Yeah about 99% sure of the bike. I love the frame. It looks too cool for school. The final decision is going to be based on a few "logistics".

1. I can get it from "F" for a resonable price. I think he wants a bit much for it.

2. My current groupo is a tad shot. I need to replace it and if I go that route then I am lookig at upgrading to 10 speed 105 Shimano (Yeah I know what you say about campag and it is an Italian bike, but for a number of reasons, I can't go that route.) So I need to come up with solutions and costs. Matchstix can get me a set of shifters and casette for about R1600 (New). Can you get me some kind of pricing on this? ( ihave some of the tools for Shimano already.)

Basically only need a chain, cassette, rear derailer, shifters and cabling. I already have 105 brake callipers and "F" says he will throw in bars and cranks.

The peejou died of old age dude.

I am looking at getting a Colnago.

smiley32.gifsmiley32.gifsmiley32.gifsmiley32.gif Bravo!!! Asso Di Fiori!!! Enough said!!!

Bonjourno Delboy. I knew you would be happy since you are a Colnago fan. Translation required for the Italian bits dude.

Non comprendo.

@Kieran. Dude' date=' you were a bit on the slow side but I seem to recall waiting for the blue child a lot as well since he broke his chain. And he punctured.

When you are a body builder you develop legs that break chains. [img']https://assets.bikehub.co.za/legacy_images/smilies/smiley5.gif[/img]smiley19.gifsmiley18.gif

So you were not the only one we waited for.smiley2.gif Was just taking the p!ss a bit. ('k, a lot.) I can see, cause I'm an old fart.smiley8.gif

Only way to get faster is to get fitter and stronger and that takes training. SBR is a good place to do it. smiley18.gif

Truth be known, I am chicken of the reserve this weekend so doing my rain dance and secretly hoping that I can get away with doing my 100 k circuit. It does go past the Karee Kloof entrance and follows a lot of the route for the fast one. (Damn good excuse nes pas?)smiley9.gif

Firstly' date=' sorry to hear about your friend!

You were a tad slow. [img']https://assets.bikehub.co.za/legacy_images/smilies/smiley2.gif[/img] I didn't have my book or laptop to keep me busy while I rested with Slave. smiley36.gif I'm sure you will get faster soon!

You are a young man, Fitness and strength comes to you a lot sooner than it comes to me.

Teeny started cycling again on Monday. (Ths is my teenage stepson).

Will see how long this one lasts. It just irritates me though, that on Monday, he did 11 km and seemd to battle a bit. Yesterday, the little shyte decided to go to the Lido and back with me. Rode my @ss off while he just seemed to stroll along behind me. Then the little (Actually all sx foot of him) clown drops my sorry @ss going up to Meyersig. Had to really extend myself to catch him again. smiley19.gif

At least I got the drop on him over the last 2 km home. "Fraid that is the last time I will ever get the drop on him unless I drag him through SBR.

He is very fast and I get smiley7.gif with him when he is so lazy. I think he could do some great things on a bike if he applies himself.

I guess dfferent strokes is very much the applicable thing here. Imagine what SBR would be like if everyone enjoyed bikes as much as this bunch of crazy Romans.smiley18.gif

Good thing they don't then smiley2.gif us crazy mountain-loving "Romans" would be a less exclusive portion of the population smiley2.gif

Do you love mountains Kieran?

The then makes only three of us: You, Predictor and myself. The others think we are mad being addicted to SBR.

Predictor, you still riding on Sat with us?
