So what was your time around the SBR this weekend Andy, Kieran?

And Nance. Only saw very late on Friday (ok,was actually very early on Saturday.) that there was an SMS from you. I went short on Saturday expecting you to drop buy for your fitment. smiley2.gif

The offer is good anytime.

Wasn't in reverse gear. smiley2.gif Just had an easier ride to get back on the bike after two weeks R&R. Just set a steady pace until they dropped off. Hehe. On First Ascent this lady on a Merida came past us. I jumped on her wheel, Predictor jumped on my wheel and Kid jumped on Predictor's wheel. Predictor is one strong rider!!

Not entirely sure... I don't have a computer on my bike at the moment. We waited a couple times for Nancy and Predictor to catch up but ride time was around the 3hour-ish mark i think?..? Andy?..?

Ride on Sat was great, Nice civilised pace and I only went out for the short loop.

Got home to find that Mrs Slave and Teeny were at the Union hospital. Teeny is very sick. So I jumped on the bike and rode there. Tough riding into the wind like that. The ride home was awesome with that tailwind.

Could not quite get my head around why my legs hurt so much an Saturday. Figured Sunday, I would just do a nice recovery ride. Riiiiiiight.

The pace was hot. Trotting along Allewynspoort at 48. It was a nice steady one though and I managed to hang on for once. Going up the steps was more of that eye popping, lung burning out on the handle bar stuff. I guess the bunch was behaving badly again, being all over the road because GO (virgin 2 point Oh) got the hammer down and left us looking rather pedestrian.

I was so knackered I need two naps yesterday. Ok, maybe the second one was because the cricket was really useless. Like what is it with those Pansies? (Sorry, wrong flower.) One day they play really well, and the next, they get whipped like me falling out of the pack going up the steps.smiley9.gif

Slave, we did SBR on Saturday in 2:35.

Yesterday I went out eatly and done a recovery ride of 45km, Mini Kid went out running and then we joined 22 000 bikers on the JHB Toy Run.

Slave you wanted to do a long ride this weekend ?

Is it still on ? What do you have in mind ?

Would like to do 100km on Saturday but I'd need to start early.

We can go out for a long one but you're too fast for me. I'll need you to tow me.

What time will you start if we do 100 plus on Saturday?

Maybe the birdman (version 2) wants to fly with us.

Who else?

Kieran, work is the curse of the drinking cycling class.

It is something that has to get done and to live like a king, we have to work like slaves.

Kid, Heidelberg could work. I still have one or two eergy bars left from 94.7 and one or two goos as well.

Kieran. you need two bottles for that ride dude. Even my two were not enough for that route kid and I did way back in Feb.

Leave at 5? Kid, I won't even ask the rhetorical question about your sanity. We all know the answer already. smiley18.gif

For 100km we can go via the race for victory route except that instead of going into the reserve, we continue and include parts of the fast one route. We are training for the fast one after all. Right turn at Henley and head back home.
