Slave...I stand corrected. That frame does not have a carbon rear triangle. But, I dont see that as a problem as it will still be light. And, buying that steel Colnago for the grouppo is a genius idea. Was gonna suggest it, but thought you might pay it no mind.

So what you are saying Kieran is that you read slower than you ride.smiley18.gif

GO (V2.0). Hey bud. Was just a thought. Now I am not so sure. Thinking about it afterwards, the idea now seems daft. I already have a group set that has it's own way of working. Why go and buy another that I don't know?

At some stage, I will be looking to get a new group set (or at least get the parts I am missing to make up a 105 group) Definitely want a new chain, cassette, chain rings and rear derailer.

So rather than getting something i don't know, it makes sense to use what I have while I replace the bits as and when cash flow allows.

We could argue that I may be able to resell it later on but that would assume the thing is in working order. Given the general condition of the bike, I think that would be a loooooong stretch.

For the price of the bike, I could already get the shifters and cassette. Also based on the fact that I would in any event  want the lighter bike anyway, I could end up with a frame that is so bad, no-one would want to buy it and possibly a group set as well.

We though we would slow down a bit so you could keep up.

These ASGR okes have kept me busy for two hours catching up on all the mail they flooded me with yesterday. So count yourself lucky.

Slave, Don't remove the brakes on the Raleigh. Not sure what's wrong with the rear one. Will sort it out later when I get another set.

No sweat dude. I already got the "good news".

Slightly better news, I finished the bike last night. All hooked up and good to go.

You will be!smiley7.gif Trust me, we will find some interesting way to repay the favour. smiley18.gif

100 km is a long ride and we may find some creative way to hurt you tomorrow. smiley17.gif

Dude, don't break yourself up over it. We will get over it. Cyclists are a hardy bunch. We are used to making a plan. smiley2.gif
