Wow Andy and OX and all you crazy hubbers.

Andy, it takes some doing to do a solo break away and stay away

Solid K's OX

Hummy, I will be in serious IM training from Monday and you are more than welcome to come join me any time for Open Water swim.

I am planning to hit the open water in a couple of week?s time as I need to get myself swimming fit first.

I found myself in a tough run on Thursday afternoon and knew something was wrong as soon as I stepped onto the road. smiley11.gif

It ends up that I contracted food poisoning on Thursday and thus could not train until now. EISH smiley19.gif

Can I perhaps use this opportunity to "brag" a little about my 12 year old daughter? smiley16.gif

She entered the 5km fun ride this morning (Fast One MTB)

She managed to come in a couple of minutes after the winner and first lady in and 3rd overall. smiley32.gif

This is her 3rd first lady in 3 races and I am so hiding her away until she is ready (14 years of age)

Go girl

I am now going to attempt my first solid meal since last week and Thursday

Talk to you all soon.

Thanks for the ride today guys! So much for unfriendly Roadies hey Nance! Any keen for SBR soon now that the flat' date=' fast one is done? [img']https://assets.bikehub.co.za/legacy_images/smilies/smiley4.gif[/img]

You're actually a mtb'er in disguise aren't you kieran?! smiley36.gif

Nah... I don't remember using the word 'unfriendly' and 'roadie' in one sentence?! smiley5.gif

Thanks for the ride guys... kid, humming bird, GOv2, sorry about the mass confusion at the start. Glad we caught up with some of you guys later.

Kieran and my good buddy Joe Low, thanks for the help with the 2nd puncture (yes, admit that you watched me change the first tube) and the entertainment and laughs on the side of the road. It was all good fun. At least that's what I keep telling myself smiley29.gif

Predictor, where have you and Trubie been ... both food poisoning?

Doing the right thing there with her predictor, do not push her too hard too soon! (I know as it happened to me..)

The route to the N4 and back

20100131_115058_BreedtsUpOverBe.jpg

Apparently it is just over a 100 with a detour on tar via the dam to the N4 / Maarhaarrand turnoff and then back via the dirt, or so I was told by people at the top of Breedts. I assume this is from the normal MTB gathering spot in Hekpoort...

Was thinking of going there on 13th Feb.

13th Feb? Bad idea! I wouldn't risk it! Luckily it is not a Friday! That would've been the worsed!

Thanks all!

Predictor, those are excellent results!! Let her develop herself. Guide her but let her get into it. My parents guided me with athletics but ultimately let me run without pushing me. Best thing they did.

Os, that is serious mileage!! You are getting stronger and stronger!! Your result for Sat was also very good!

Oh for sure! smiley2.gif I'm as much a mountainbiker as my coach is smiley17.gif

You looked in control with changing the 1st one! Even riding off with it! For about 15m smiley36.gif Until the "I've officially lost my sense of humour" comment... followed by hysterical laughter between yourself and Joe Low smiley36.gif
