'twas a real pity, but I guess it in the end it all worked out all for the best for me. Realised I was genuinely tired when I got home and slept right through to 1pm.

Thanks for the 5km sprint to our first puncture though Trubie. The way you pulled us all to the bunch was quite impressive! smiley32.gif

I'm sure you'll be forgiven, besides you were pulling some of your "friends" up the steps.

Those dudes all stopped at the BP & look a little finished.

Once again you gave us a glimpse of how strong you are, we were honored!!! smiley32.gifsmiley32.gifsmiley32.gifsmiley32.gifsmiley32.gifsmiley32.gifsmiley32.gifsmiley32.gif

So after some solid advice from the great owl I decided to rather do a run today (IM big picture).

Potholes and Carbon do not mix well and no ja with todays ride only a ride and not race I decided not to risk my carbon wheels.

I did however do 16km Run and decided to only start at 12:15.

Finished at 13:45 and nearly though I was going to die from heat.

Eish

Hummy, I am trying to lead by example

No water + hot day also do not mix well and lesson learned.

Kid what was up with that Merc on Sat Morning??

GO thanks, build her from bare frame with parts from CRC and other places.

Have a good and safe week and Solid luck with the shop GO.

I will finish with a bit of meyerton madness:

There are those who say they can't

There are those who say they CAN

Both are right.

Have a good week hubbers.

Oxman, thank you for hanging with me through the whole ride (and walk smiley36.gif) yesterday.. that heat was something else! Impressive new route though, definitely want to do it more often!

I'm also pretty knackered today, my boys even let me have an afternoon nap.. slept for 2 hours smiley20.gif  I just went out for a 1 hour easy spin this morning and the legs (and butt) were quite tender

Humming Bird dude.. you have some pretty radical and cynical views of women for someone of your age.  We're not all evil, I promise smiley2.gif, there are some good ones out there

Predictor, you're crazy for running at that speed at midday dude smiley29.gif but I suppose if IM is the goal......

Happy Sunday all

It really was a great ride thanks Nance. The sunburn this morning was not that great though smiley18.gif Going to have a whole new super dorky cycling tan again smiley36.gif

I was actually kinda glad to have had the opportunity to bail on the ride this morning smiley9.gif Next weekend I'm taking it a tad more gently (Just one MTB ride on Saturday)

Enjoy the new week all!

So after some solid advice from the great owl I decided to rather do a run today (IM big picture).

Let's do this again, hopefully this time it won't crash.

Predictor, who is this great owl you speak of ??

It can't possibly be GreyOwl, he'd never recommend a run to anybody. But then again we now have Grey Owl ver3.0 and maybe there is a bug in this version.

The dude in the Merc drove hos scrap very close to us and started hooting even though there were no other cars around, he could have easily have gone a little to the right like all the other cars. Anyway some of the cyclists chirped & he slowed down and a few more chirps were exchanged until he drove on his merry way.

GO only warned me about the condition of the roads in the souf and thus I decided to rather do the run.

The dude overtook me and slammed on breaks in front of me.

I Thanked him for his actions.

Poepol

At least he can count

Ox, you must be suffering heatstroke after saturdays epic ride - as the song says - It wasn't me!!

Not sure what your condition can be ascribed to, I know Ox's is sunstroke, but next time come ride @ the front and you'll know "the truth, the real truth and nothing but the truth"

Andy take not of this quote, might just come in handy andy - I mean in the tests this week!!

Might be, and that was why I was thinking I'd be able to hang with you guys... I still know what I saw... Trubie at the front, and all of us behind him, him chasing and us wheelsucking our way back to the bunch.

Only to pull up for the first puncture. I was secretly glad when you and GOv3 decided to rather go short than long.. Guess my wheels were as well, the rear one let go of all its airsmiley5.gif

GOv3, thanks for being the intermediary in arranging my lift back. Send my thanks to F again.

Kieran first, and then yours truly
