AndyR, have you ever joined your club on one of their MTB club rides?

Any opinions on these rides?

Hey Os,

Went great thanks. Stayed in the front part of A and narrowly avoided a crash. Had to unclip and stop but quickly chased down the group before they turned on the gas up a climb. Struggled slightly in the mid part of the race because I haven't ridden for two whole weeks. But seems to ride into form the further into the race we got. Made the cut up Heidelberg Hill and finished nearish the front (but on the back of the sprint group). Bit of interferrance from the VC's though. They need to get them out of the way of A!

How'd the racing go today gentlemen? smiley4.gif

And where' date=' may I ask were you today young man?  I head out souff to join you guys and half the ASGR team are missing.

I did get to see Greyowl version three point zero very briefly before he dashed off into the sunrise and I had the pleasure of meeting Nish4.

Thanks for hanging with us Nish.. sorry about the little roundabout that helped us to lose you. My cleat was very firmly attached to my pedal and it was less embarassing to turn left at the red traffic light than fall over sideways [img']https://assets.bikehub.co.za/legacy_images/smilies/smiley2.gif[/img]smiley4.gif

Was a good ride! enjoyed the Rietvlei loop afterwards too. LOTS of mud!

Thanks for joining me Zoo Cookie smiley1.gif

Kid - slowest is relative dude. I commend you on that time (I would have given my left nut for a time like that last year) and hope you have finally realised that you should rather join us in the mornings than twiddle your thumbs on your solo rides.

Dom - you continue making the team proud smiley32.gifsmiley32.gifsmiley32.gif

Andy - dont start training more cause I shudder to think what you'll do to us then.

Pred - nice to see you, great race and great time mate.

Me - I missed my target time by 2 mins, but managed to avoid the tumble.... stayied with the bunch much longer than I thought possible ( but climbing with nimble 60 kg riders comes at a price if you weigh what i dosmiley9.gifsmiley9.gifsmiley9.gif) , losing 6 mins in the last 30 k's of which two thirds were solo, I suppose no real reason to complain. Today was also 9 mins better than last year, so enough reason to celebrate!

One more and then its Argus time  - 21 days to be exact.

Slave - didnt see you this morning, but wanted to report back that I saw Walter on our ride yesterday. Zini still going strong although it certainly looks a bit battered. Good to know it was a worthwile cause

Oh' date=' I was planning to do a bit of training this week. Mustn't I?

please dont!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Argus is about 20 days 12 hours! - ok, so my maths isn't good  -call me a liar for 12 hrs....sorry all, Argus is just 20 days away[img']https://assets.bikehub.co.za/legacy_images/smilies/smiley19.gif[/img]

Kid, you did very well!!! Not that far behind me!!

its obvious that Kid and Hummy should get the stars of the month reward.

seems since slave isnt riding and the title of King of the steps has been vacant for some time now, we need a new title, so star of the month or week

either way the Singing bird and his blue dad deserve the accolade.

We'll have another team member in A soon!!!!!

Trubie careful what you wish for, at your age you need all your nuts.

To clarify a possible misunderstanding, Hummy possibly came 3rd in his group NOT overall - I'm still proud of him.

Trubie, I second that! Kid and Hummy are really rising stars! Btw-it is now 20 days, 9 hours and about 20 minutes for Argus! smiley36.gif

Kid, was Hummy riding in A in the 63km race?
