If you had stayed out longer you would have also seen me change a tube.

Or even better you could have changed it for me.

I think you should start doing the Bosco loop, the guys seem to be in a very big hurry these days.

How was this misty weather this morning. Everything was sopping wet by the time we got to the bridge. Great ride thanks Nish.

Good long week, plenty hrs in the saddle.

Wilro just 3 weeks away.

Extremely misty this morning for some strange reason! I got rid of my glasses the minute we got onto alewynspoort road as they were fogging up.

Sounds like a good thing i didn't ride then this morning ha ha ha smiley36.gif I need my glasses! Would have been priceless watching me trying to ride not being able to see where I'm going smiley36.gif

Had a killer today in the valley known as Dainfern for a golf demo! Was so damn humid my outfit was soaked through by 8:00! smiley24.gif

I'M Baaaaaaaaack!smiley4.gif

For many reasons I was forced to borrow a bike from our good friend Mr. "T". Went for a 20 k ride on Friday, Nice easy pace and everything feels OK, Still a bit on the uncomfortable side, but it was a good ride.

Then I went out and did the same route again sort of mid morning yesterday. It's good to be back in the saddle.

Nice bike that SLR. Handles well. Now the long road back to some seblance of fitness before I can joingthe "B" bunch again and work on my group riding skills.

Lotsa work ahead.

Welcome back SLAVE.

SBR next weekend ??? smiley36.gif smiley36.gif

Take it easy, do a good few rides alone then when your confidence is up again start riding in small groups.

You still have time to do a sub 3hr 94.7 this year.

Tachy: Exactly as Ha Ha Kieran said!

Kid: Please remind me what tyres you are using.

Slave: Awesome to have you back on the bike! I was just starting to think of a way for us to get you riding again. Perhaps attach a bottle of your favourite whiskey to Trubie's seat post for you to try and catch. smiley36.gif

Ha Ha: You not allowed to go into the dams. It is out of bounds and marked with red stakes (I think).

Thanks for the advise on the internal BB, although it's not making a squicky noise anymore, I'll rather be on the safe side and order one from CRC.

What was up with the main bunch's pace on Saterday, and only doing the short Henley loop as well???????

Did someone use gummy berry juice?smiley25.gif

Andy, I was using Victoria tyres but no tyres would have survived. Somehow a piece of wire similar to a paper clip went through the tyre and messed up the tube.

Tachy, just fit Campy & you'll no longer have these problems.

Yip the guys are in a serious hurry these days, it all started from the robot where the short & long groups split then it just got faster up Lido hill and the pace continued getting faster, I got dropped twice but then we made a small group and rode back.

Victoria tyres? Did I read correctly? Not Gatorskins? Didn't you look and see the piece of wire?

smiley2.gif

Put Gators back on in the afternoon. It was a small piece of wire about 5cm long and about 1cm went into the tyre.

Andy, obviously, you have no idea how "magnetic" bike tyres can be. Skiinny as they are, they attract every piece of glass or wire from miles aound to that one square inch or road contact that they make.

There, I fixed it! smiley36.gif

And no, I have no idea how "magnetic" Kid's tyres are although prima facie they seem extremely "magnetic" to glass, wire and other debris of various forms.
