Happy Birthday Slave!!!!

Hope it was a good one ;)

Hope this year brings many happy miles and great health B)

:D Thans D. And thanks for the SMS Trubes.

Yes it wasa rather good one. Worked to hard on Saturday AM and then spent the rest of the day with my Boet and had way too many Catles. Now I remember why I stopped drinking that cr@p so many years ago. Instant headache in a can. :(

And you didn't even come for a ride with your other friends??

Good thing you have many more years ahead of you....

Now get on the bike & ride, the 94.7 will be here sooner than you think.

All the best!!!

Thanks Del. It has been a looooooooong time since I rode the loops on a weekend with my mates, so please don't read anything sinister into it. Been commuting a lot so by the time a weekend rolls around, I need to take a 3 day snooze and have lotsa rest. Pity weekends are only two days and sometimes only a day and a half.

Hummy offered to take me around the loop which, according to him, would isntantly change my fitness levels. :P The jusry is still out on where I can find the energy to do that. Since my prang, I have got a bit slower than I used to be. :o

And no, I am not scared of the bike.

I think that since the prang you've lost your mojo.

Losing mojo doesn't have to be forever Slave! I have found mine and it was only lost for 2 months ..... just get out there and ride!

Sometimes easier said than done mate. Losing your Mojo is like major. It's big. And the worst is that no-one but me can get it back.

Last year(or maybe the year before, I tried to help a friend to find the motivation to ride. I tried everything I knew but still could not get it right.

Seriously, I love riding and I especially enjoy riding on weekends. It's just that with the amount of commuting I am doing lately, I have no energy come the weekend. I need to rest. I also lack a lot of the confidence I used to have and have to get that back. :o

This after one lie down which I managed solo without any outside influence or assistance and being knocked off once. So far, I am back with traffic confidence, but eish, riding in a bunch just scares the lycra off me right now. (And that is a terrifying prospect. (ME without Lycra)) :D

Only one way to get that confidence back.

You have to hunt with the pack.

Knowing you it will be good if you get out there one weekend -this week they start at 7:00 again, and ride with the slower bunch, only Nampak loop. You will get the feeling of the pack and I bet you will want to ride with a faster group the next weekend.

You only have to give up on 1 commute per week and go ride the loop on sat/sun

try it - nothing to loose hey?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. The sky is blue. I knew that. :P

Maybe I'm just lazy too on top of all this. Last year, I used to wake up at 05h45 on the weekend without an alarm clock. The past few months, I been going to bed at midnight every night (Work, work, work) and getting up at 04h40 every day. Leave for work and then only get home at 17h45.

Come the weekend, it's very difficult to motivate myself to get up and go ride when I feel like I need to nap for another 4 days, before I even get out of bed. :(

So, lately, I been sleeping until about 9 on the weekends and then I'm just too tired and lazy to go out and cycle.

When I can get to sleep a bit earlier in the week, maybe I can feel more energised on weekends to get back to hunting in the pack. My project should be over within a month. Maybe life will get back to some kind of normality then. ;)

So in the interim, it's very difficult to get the Mojo going when the mind is in almost perpetual zombie mode. :( I have difficulty keeping awake at my desk during the day.)

I gave up noodle for lent and haven't found the energy to take it up again.

Maybe one day soon the SO will find the energy to leave with the milkman or some junk. Then I can cycle all I like. (If I can get my lazy, sorry ass out of the feathers.) (Anyone know any milkmen to come and take her away?)
