V-tec Slave? Coz I'm definately NOT in F1 territory myself smiley36.gif

Anycase' date=' the shop where the bike is booked for a service at the end of the week was too busy to help me with the wheel. Sorry to them *sarcastic laff*

I took the rear wheel to Northcliff Cycles, and they had no problem to take it in, AND they said they will have it ready by this afternoon.YAY!!! Service with a smile indeed.

Now I can go do the criterium race at Northgate (I mean, go offer my back wheel to be lapped 3x in 45 minutes [img']https://assets.bikehub.co.za/legacy_images/smilies/smiley18.gif[/img] )

And that will be my cycling training for the coming weekend: 45min crit race, 90 minutes spinning, and 160km 2 weeks before..... hehehahahoohoo

Why didn't you just take the whole bike to Northcliff Cycles ?

GreyOwl swears by them.

Much as I like to think so Nuwb, it was prob'ly the rest on Sunday.

I do that route once a week, usually Monday and then Tuesday, we go the same route but up Lido hill first, then Columbine and home down Klipriver.

Hill climbing is getting better and better.

I'll be there again Saturday to try it again. Maybe do the long loop on Sunday. We'll see.

Slavey, you getting soft - normally your time improves by 9 minitues each week, what happened ?

Nuwbie, I think you pushed him too hard on Saturday.

I think you pushed him so hard that Slavey didn't even cycle on Sunday and yesterday he only managed to reduce his time by 2 minutes instead of 9 min.

I'm starting to lean in that direction as well.... But the booking at the other (also decent shop) has already been made, so I'll stick to that for now.

Although I'm not going to keep on entertaining 3 week lead times for a bike service. Jeepers, for the car I can get a service booking within 3 days!

I hope you aren't referring to the 'price fixing' lab ?

3 week lead time for a bicyle service and turn away customers with broken wheels, seems like they only want the fancy jobs ??

Why you soufern buys frequenting bike ships in va norf huh?

Agteros is from the norff, when we organise him a visa he comes down souff to ride with us.

You wanna ride with us BigBen ?

If you ask nicely we'll also organise you a visa.

Well BB, the dumb ox (oops) is from da norf. He lives out there and rides out here and then claims to be sane and forward.

Seriously Osman, I servcie my own bike dude. Get's done when and how I want.

Eish Kid, you're a freaking "slave driver". I could have maybe got a bit more time off, but like I was riding with my ride bud until I decided to go hard (er) at buthcers hill.

Getting to that point now where time slices will become smaller and smaller. Did that route last week and only shave off 11 (seconds).

You tink I'm soft? Wait dude, next time we on the steps, I'm bringing my rope. No, not to tow you, to chase you up the steps.

Yesterday, I almost made up the two miutes just up the Klipriver hill towards JG Strydom. Klapped that hill silly and that was cose to the end of the ride.

I just got that "I own this hill today attitude and went for it."

Going out to do it again today. Man, I must be stooopid.
