Would like to join an easy paced group (ave speed 25-30 kph)with a total distance of 50 - 75km.Will the groups still be going out this Saturday from Swartkoppies?

Just be careful up The Steps (just over the highway where you turn left). Make sure you are with one other rider minimum. I am from the north but ridden with the guys and they are my friends. So that is as I understand it but they will confirm for you.

There have been a number of bike jackings over a fairly long time. There are Helivac marshalls that ride alongside the cyclists but I have only ever seen them ride with the fast group. Be sure to stay with the bunch when you hit the steps. It is one of the hotspots and be particularly cautious of anyone standing close to the side of the road in this area. Then you will be fine. I usuall ride in Blue Panda Kit. Tall old fart on a Trek SLR. Come over and say Hi. I'd like to meet you. Will be there tomorrow morning and probably Sunday as well.

I was all ready to ride and even got into bed at a reasonable hour, alone. I had drifted off to dreamland when I got a call from Liewe Exie. Wound me up so tight I only managed to get back to sleep around 4h30 and I just battled to wake up. I did eventually but by then it was tight, time-wise. Would have made it with a coupleinutes to spare but the bike had a flat front wheel, which made it two puncutres on Friday. By the time I got going, it was late so I had a solo ride around in the hills. Then yesterday I got to the usual spot ahead of time and waited. Waited a bit more and a small group of about 6 arrived to add to the other handful of us that were there. They left promptly at 7 and still I waited. No Kids, Trubies or anyone else. So I chased them down after they had a few minutes start on me and did the short loop with them. Got another punture and ran out of steam going up Camaro. That's two in a row now. So I got an SMS from the Captain yesterday. He suggested that we invite Predictor to be a member of the DC team. I like that idea. Another good strong rider.
