Slave, why don't you ride with these guys during the week ?

Then you'll graduate a lot quicker.

You do know where to meet, Steers Meyersdal @ 5:10 ( don't get there at 5:12 like Nuwbie says because you'll have to play catch-up)

Where is GreyOwl ?

Doing secret training ???

Maybe he's had his wings clipped or maybe cleaning that shiny new red rocket of his.

Where is Spaso, he joined the chicken run last week and kept the puppies company. smiley17.gif

Dude, you seem to forget one thing, They don't have a category for riders like me. If they did, I'd be like "grand master vet zz" or some junk. Thise okes (vets A) flew past us on the first berg run we did. They would slaughter me if I even tried to look like I was keen on riding with them. They'd drop me downhill, dude never mind uphill.

It would be like a kid on a tricycle trying to keep up with you. 'sides, they ride too early. That time of the day, it's cold, dark and a damn fine time of day to be in dreamland.

GO just phoned, will chat to him ' bout riding Saturday and Wed.

Can someone please just send some (actually a lot) reminders tmrw, about the times and meeting places - Slave's training is interfering with his wireworks, so he tends to forget or mix up dates, times and places.

Oh my word - just remembered Kid has trouble with the time also, please make sure to use words and numbers when confirming timessmiley2.gifsmiley2.gifsmiley2.gif

Once you know the route, you can always leave from the steers a little earlier than the bunch. that way you can ride the uphills at your own pace and perhaps we'll catch you closer to the downhill sections.

Must be all that CO2 generated by vigorous sectret training that has me all foncused Nuwbie.

Let's see if I have this correct. Kid is going away for the weekend to ride the wilro. On tuesday, which is actually Wed the 22nd we going to vote about riding before we vote or was that the other way around? On Sunday I'm meeting my drug dealer (AKA NArc) and we gonna criuse the steps. and Friday last week, we did Nuwbies Epic?

The week before, some duce got a puncutre in the berg and delayed brekkie.

That about right?

Ok so my plans for the weekend and next week:

Rode last night ended up with a nice easy cruise up Klipriver, past two other cyclists

Saturday - bone cracker so planning to go out on the mountain bike and do a quiet 25 clicks, nice recovery ride potential for the slave.

Sunday - leaving Mulbarton at 08h00 to do the cheese factory loop with Big Mark, probably about 50 clicks

Wednesday 22nd April - Meeting Slave's alter egos Brian Ferry and David Gilmour and the other ex Roxy Music guys for a ride to pay penance and puke up a lung - think that this was at about 09h20 if I remember correctly.

How long have you been riding for Narc ?
Posted

Narco, left home at 16h30 and tried to make it to the Glen by 17h00. Failed by 3 minutes. So today, I have to do it again. Leaving a bit earlier and taking easier route. Was back home by 18h15 after going home via Glenvista and then onto Klipriver (S).

My teenager was finished by the time we got home. He's been off his bike for a number of weeks ad reconned he could take me over any distance.(He is much faster than me, but I'm still fit.)

He made the major mistake of overstimating his fitness and ability and he got a good solid wake-up call from the Ol man.

Not that I wll drop him for much longer. He really can ride fast when fit and he klaps me.
