wackwack Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I have heard a couple guys mentiontion spraying a bike with Spray n Cook helps prevent mud sticking to your bike & parts when riding muddy conditions? I would like to see what peoples views & opinions are in this regard? Personally i have not tried it - sounds a bit wierd though.wackwack2008-11-20 23:57:03
Wazza Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 I've tried it but my cookies keep falling off!
Fulmenicilus Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Mr. Min multi-surface does the job a lot better than Spray n Cook!

Dirtbreath Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Mr. Min multi-surface does the job a lot better than Spray n Cook! Can u recommend a smell? Does it make your bike nice and shiney? Lavender or Wild Fruit? And it does wonders on those discs too!
Speed Devil Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Mr. Min multi-surface does the job a lot better than Spray n Cook! I usually polish my frame with Mr Min afetr cleaning. It gives the paintwork a smooth feel and makes cleaning easier the next time around. Spray and cook has a wax base, so while it helps to make cleaning easier, it will attract dust and dirt a lot quicker. I wonder how well Spray-n-cook will work on a chain

What would you charge for a polish if i brought my bike to you?? I would also be prepared to include a 6 pack
Delgado Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Don't know about the cycling part but I do know it helps in getting a full length wetsuit on!!
turtlek Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 guys if you want to ride mountain bikes do it properly or if you want to go for cooking lessons i can give you the number for the swiss hotel school there are just some things that you dont mix especially spray and cook with mountain biking you wasting your time with it anyways it just makes mud into grinding paste on any moving parts!!!!
davetapson Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Watched a guy in the bike wash line at Barberton spray his bike and the mud washed straight off. Me, I sprayed my bike and most of the loose mud came off, but still required proper washing when I got home - he must have sprayed his bike with something... which is why I'm searching on the hub? Methinks I might just try Mr Min...
Danger Dassie Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 The MrMin trick was also used by MX riders, be careful of the new stuff though, acetone is an ingrediant of many aerosol wood polishes.
